American Tap Dance Foundation

The American Tap Dance Foundation (ATDF) is a non-profit organization committed to establishing and legitimizing Tap Dance as a vital component of American Dance through creation, presentation, education and preservation. Class field trips to our American Tap Dance Center Studios can include introductory/sample classes (tap shoes provided), viewings of documentaries on tap artists & companies, working with ATDF guest artists in residence, and viewing professional rehearsals in action, and in studio performances. Each visit can be tailored to fit individual groups interests & needs. Tap City Youth Ensemble is available for in school performances/assemblies with an educational show “Tappin’ into New York” which highlights the connections between New York City and Tap Dance, ages K-8.
