OUTREACH
HealthBarn’s “Try it, you’ll like it” school assembly program strives to promote healthy behaviors and eating habits among students of all ages through interactive learning. Before the assembly, HealthBarn will meet with your school to figure out logistics, go over any food allergies, and provide a parent letter with recipe to be taken home. HealthBarn will also suggest activities for teachers to implement in the classroom before and after the assembly. The assembly will begin with an introduction to nutrition before delving into hands-on activities such as a USDA MyPyramid-related taste testing and a chance to try the Rainbow Swirly Smoothie bar.
