Children's Museum of Pittsburgh

The museum, influenced by Pittsburgh native Mr. Rogers, offers students a plethora of amazingly creative and fun life-sized exhibits and hands-on experiences. Students can explore things that drive like real-life wheels, trolleys and cars in the Garage, or view Andy Warhol art pieces alongside large-scale dollhouses as they capture their shadows with strobe lights in the Attic. The theatre offers a vast costume collection for students to act in while the Waterplay, Backyard and Garden give students a chance to meander through a 7-foot Water Mover or plant and pick healthy snacks. Groups can also reserve museum, garden or studio workshops on various topics such as: electronics, puppets, design and programming, clay, printmaking, and soil and compost. Catered lunches are also available by request!
