Increase your knowledge about the forestry of Erie County at the Erie County Forestry Department. Forest grounds feature picnic shelters, warm up huts, grills, restrooms, a sugar production facility, and a sawmill. Trails can be hiked, skied, and some can be used for snowboarding and horseback riding. Students, scouts, and homeschool groups can learn all about the process of maple sugaring in March through nature programs at the Sugar Shack and sugar bush hikes.
