National Soaring Museum

Learn about the heritage of motorless flight, aeronautics and related physical sciences by exploring a large archive area and an 8,000-square-foot Heritage Hangar. Come explore a guided or self-guided tour of the heritage of motorless flight and learn the math and science of aerodynamics of the large collection of sailplanes on display dating back to the 1890s. The Soaring Encampment welcomes groups to reserve an overnight educational exciting, experience of constructing and test flying airplanes, touring the museum, building a life-size replica of a wing rib and buzzing through cockpit orientation and flight simulators.
