North Carolina Zoo

The North Carolina Zoo, located in the heart of the state, is perfectly situated for an outdoor field trip for your students. The Zoo is the world’s largest natural habitat zoo, sitting on 2,600 total acres and serves up a variety of fun programs for school groups at all grade levels. We are accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, the gold standard in animal care. Students will learn about animals from all over the world as well as local, native species they can find in their backyards.
