Museum of Life and Science

Situated on 84 acres, the Museum of Life and Science includes a two-story science center, one of the largest butterfly conservatories on the East Coast, and beautifully landscaped outdoor animal exhibits. The Museum provides home for rescued black bears, lemurs, endangered red wolves, and more than 60 other species of live animals. Groups can schedule a private program in a number of environmental and physical science topics. Learn about the world of butterflies; study the wetlands, weather, and soil; create chemical reactions or use them to classify minerals; and much more.
