The collection has major holdings in European painting, from the Renaissance to the 19th century, American art, modern painting, Egyptian art, Greek and Roman sculptures, and international contemporary art. Other works include African and Oceanic art, and Jewish ceremonial objects. The museum is home to the Ann and Jim Goodnight Museum Park, designed by Barbara Kruger, which features art installations, gardens, trails, a picnic area, and more.
