US National Arboretum

The US National Arboretum offers two types of guided tours. The Windshield Tours consist of an overview of the grounds on transportation provided by your group. The vehicle will stop at the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum and the National Herb Garden. The Walking Tour gives an up close and personal view of the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum, The National Herb Garden, the Administration Building terrace and pool, and the Friendship Garden. During both tours, groups will learn about the National Arboretum's history, collections, and research. Please allow time at the conclusion of your tour for an in-depth visit to some of the collections. Year-Round Interests include: Asian Valley in the Asian Collections, Friendship Garden, National Bonsai & Penjing Museum, National Boxwood Collection, Gotelli Dwarf and Slow-Growing Conifer Collection, Knot Garden in the National Herb Garden, Morrison Garden in the Azalea Collections, Holly and Magnolia Collections.
