Phillips Collection

Students will encounter superb works of modern art in an intimate setting at The Phillips Collection in Washington’s vibrant Dupont Circle neighborhood. Paintings by Renoir, Rothko, Bonnard, O'Keeffe, van Gogg, and Diebenkorn are among the many stunning impressionist and modern works that fill the museum. The school tour programs offer hands-on gallery activities and art-making workshops that engage students in learning through modern art and appeal to a wide variety of learners. Guided visits of the permanent collection are given by museum staff trained in object based learning, visual arts, and arts integration.
