Edgar Allan Poe Museum

Learn about the life of American poet Edgar Allan Poe. Groups will have the chance to see artifacts from the poet’s life in the museum’s collections, ranging from a lock of Poe’s eyebrow hair to his sister’s sewing box. The museum’s exhibits feature photos of Poe, manuscripts, and posters from his collection. Groups will also see the roses in the Enchanted Garden, which Poe wrote about in his 1848 poem “To Helen.” Educational programs at the museum include activities that focus Poe’s life as a child, his poetry, and common myths about the poet.
