Virginia Discovery Museum

The Virginia Discovery Museum students can explore engaging exhibits such as A-Mazing Airways, The Discovery Garage, and the Virginia Heritage Area. After that, they can learn all about the ABC's and 123's of Virginia. Finally they'll enjoy Little C'Ville, a mini-town that includes a Panera Bread, UVA Children's Hospital, the Discovery Fire Station, and VDM's Observation BeeHive. Groups of 6 to 40 students will receive a short orientation followed by an hour to explore the exhibits. Teachers can add a themed activity, led by a VDM staff member, to make the trip even more exciting! Themes include Constellations (all ages); Brass Menagerie, Sorting Seashells, Q is for Quilts (PreK-1st); and Passport to Nigeria; Cars, Clay, Corn, and Clouds: the Pueblo Indians; Trade for Cookies (2nd-5th). The Museum also offers traveling trucks that will bring the excitement into your classroom.
