John G. Shedd Aquarium

Filled with eye-popping exhibits, Shedd Aquarium features fish, birds, aquatic flora, and even mammals from all over the world. Groups can explore the Amazon exhibit, and learn how plants and animals adapt to the river’s annual rise and fall. See exhibits on the Great Lakes ecosystem and local animals, or take a 360-degree walk around a Caribbean Reef aquarium. Field trips give students time to study the exhibits, design a habitat, or have a hands-on Learning Lab: study water quality, or even dissect a fish or squid! Overnight programs available. See if your school qualifies for free admission to the aquarium.
