Nassau County Firefighters Museum & Education Center

The Firefighters Museum focuses on fire safety and Nassau County’s volunteer firefight- ing history. Groups can tour a collection of historic and contemporary firefighting equipment, participate in an interactive presentation focusing on preventing and escaping from fires, and take part in a simulated fire drill. Imaginative props in a theater setting are used by instructors to help visitors learn how everyday activities and interaction with consumer products can sometimes result in fires or injuries, and how to recognize and avoid these risks.
