Hartford Symphony Orchestra

Offers a broad spectrum of musical activities. Lincoln Financial Discovery Concerts illuminate classical music for students and incorporate academic areas. Past topics include The Civil War & Civil Rights Era, how The Orchestra Rocks, and The Musical Stories of Shakespeare and Seuss. In the Instrument Zoos program, students discover the mechanics and sounds of the instruments in a hands-on laboratory. Symphony in the Schools brings HSO chamber ensembles into your classroom for interactive performances. Activities might include exploring popular tunes with a Jazz twist, participating as music makers on rhythm instruments, learning beat patterns, and more.
