Students will have a great time learning important STEM concepts through play on field trips to the Children's Museum at Saratoga. As part of a guided field trip, students may listen to a story, learn about the human body, or even be challenged to build their own roller coaster. Other activities include observing replica fossils native to New York and elsewhere, creating projects using recycled materials, and more. Community Service Programs are available as part of Discovery Visit field trips. Space can be reserved in advance for school groups to eat lunch at the museum. Inquire about the museum’s Give Play Field Trip Scholarship.

The Children’s Museum of Saratoga provides an interactive space for students, scouts, homeschoolers, and campers to learn and play. Exhibits on the first floor include a look at pond life, the art studio, a tree house, and the science center. Upstairs, groups can explore the miniature town complete with a bank, construction zone, diner, and schoolhouse. Groups can harvest vegetables in the Farmer’s Garden, play pet veterinarian, and build in the STEM room. Discovery Visit, Exploration Visit and Extended Discovery Visit field trip experiences give groups the chance to explore STEM while having fun.

Scouts

Scouts can participate in a variety of badge-earning workshops at the Children’s Museum at Saratoga. Girl Scouts can work on badges related to health, art, and more after school or on the weekends. Overnight programs for scouts include badge program workshop, time to play in the museum’s exhibits, dinner, and breakfast. Workshops can be customized to meet badge requirements.

Space can be reserved in advance for your homeschool group to have lunch at the museum.
