Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia

Step into the world of America’s financial system at Philadelphia’s Federal Reserve, home to the first Bank of the United States. The Money in Motion exhibit teaches groups about banking, the U.S. central banking system’s history and the Federal Reserve System. Groups can use advanced technology and interactive displays to listen to a teller describe a potential payment system, learn interesting bank operations, and connect historical facts to their current use of the dollar. Marvel at the 25-foot tower of shredded bills totaling up to $100 million and a currency cart of $5 bills totaling $1.35 million.
