Lake Champlain Maritime Museum

Learn the stories of some of the historic shipwrecks preserved in the cold, dark waters of Lake Champlain. Students and scouts can study artifacts in the Nautical Archaeology Center and even board a replica Revolutionary War gunboat, the Philadelphia II. The fleet at LCMM also includes several restored boats for viewing. View craftsmen engaged in traditional boatbuilding and blacksmithing, and learn about the region's native people and the expedition of Samuel de Champlain at the historic Stone Schoolhouse. Examples of programs offered include Colonial and Revolutionary War, 19th Century and Commercial Era, and Young Mariners On-Water. Outreach programs available.
