Andover Historical Society

The Andover Historical Society tells the unique story of Andover through its museum, library, archives, exhibitions and programs. The Society fosters an appreciation for local history and the importance of preservation. It houses an extensive collection from all periods of Andover's history. Ranging from textiles and costumes to household goods and farm implements, the collection tells the stories of the many individuals, families and businesses that have had past or present connections to the town. It offers many programs for student and homeschool groups, such as the "Andover at Work in the 1820s" program. In this programs, students learn about the daily life and occupations held by 19th century Andover citizens.
