Concord Museum

At the Concord Museum, all of Concord’s remarkable past is brought to life through an inspiring collection of historical, literary, and decorative art treasures. Students will experience historical detective work and role playing combined with problem solving, tactile learning, and critical thinking to gain a real sense of history. Students will learn about Native American culture by engaging in a table-top dig of authentic artifacts; they will grind corn and cook Nokehick; use a traditional bow drill to construct table-top villages; mull cider, churn butter and prepare gingerbread, applesauce, and rose wafers; examine objects of everyday colonial life; explore the work of colonial craftsmen; visit rooms filled with authentic colonial furnishings and see artifacts from the Revolution; and more.
