Woods Hole Science Aquarium

This small, public aquarium contains approximately 140 species of marine animals from the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic waters, including toothy wolfish, blue lobsters, and sea stars. There is a work area behind the tanks, and students are permitted to talk to the staff as they prepare fish food, feed the animals, or clean the tanks. The area also has touch tanks filled with lobsters, tautogs, quahogs, and horseshoe and hermit crabs. The Aquarium has one outdoor exhibit, which is an enclosed 17,000-gallon pool housing seals. Your students will be able to watch the seals as they’re fed, trained, and exercised.
