Olana State Historic Site

Visit the Victorian home of the late American landscape painter Frederic Church. Groups can tour the house, the landscape, the Coachmen’s House Gallery and the Evelyn and Maurice Sharp Gallery. Maurice Sharp Gallery. Groups will learn about observing art through the landscape in educational programs such as Land as a Canvas: Voices from the Land, Icebergs & Clouds: Real and Representational, Islamic Design: Persian Influence and Geometry at Olana, From Sketch to Study to Painting: Studying Frederic Church’s Method from en plein air to Studio, and more.
