Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Co. & Museum

Take a trip back in time at the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Co. & Museum! Enjoy magnificent views of Portland's waterfront aboard antique rail cars pulled by hard-working steam and diesel locomotives. Restored in Spring 2008, these 2-foot gauge steam trains connected rural Maine with the rest of the world from 1879 until just before World War II.

The Birthday Train Coach can be reserved for your child's next birthday celebration. Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad provides an eight-foot table with authentic train coach benches that can seat up to 30 people. The table is covered with plain paper and crayons provided for the children to color. You provide food, paper products and decorations.
