Connecticut Audubon Society

Using the wonderful and great outdoors as our classroom, the “Science in Nature” education programs provide students with hands-on, inquiry-based learning. Students can also become scientists in our Climate, Geology, Adaptations series at the Center in Fairfield. This series of three, full-day programs gives students opportunities to investigate habitat types, and use scientific methodology. The program is divided into three days to focus on each theme, such as studying climate by looking at the earth’s behavior in the solar system or looking at Connecticut’s geological history. Programs can be adapted for high school learners as well.
