Ausable Chasm

Otherwise known as the Grand Canyon of the Adirondacks, the Chasm offers groups a wide range of outdoor adventures. Tour guides lead groups on rock climbing, rafting, rappelling, and tubing excursions. Guided activities and tours are available, such as a two-part tour that takes groups on a hike through the upper chasm, and a scenic raft float or tube ride on the Ausable River. Adventure Trails lead thrill-seekers on cliff walks and over cable bridges, and mountain biking trails are great for rides with breathtaking views. Groups can rent scenic cottages all throughout the summer, and winter tour featuring (frozen waterfalls and a descent into the snow-covered chasm) are available for student and scout booking.
