Texas Renaissance Festival

Attend the Texas Renaissance Festival’s 12th Annual School Days on November 1 and 2, 2016. Open exclusively for students and teachers, School Days allow student and homeschool groups to step back in time as they experience Renaissance culture, art, science, and literature. New Market Village, the Festival’s recreation of an authentic 16th century European village, features costumed interpreters, artisans in period dress, and more. Groups will enjoy performances by jesters, magicians, jousting knights, and musicians. Activities include learning the art of falconry and courtly Renaissance dances, as well as watching live blacksmithing, pottery, and armor making demonstrations. Students may also participate in music, theatre, art, trebuchet, essay, and other competitions.
