Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park

The Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park, located within the beautiful 36-acre Edison State Park, includes historic foundations, nature trails, and the newly restored Edison Memorial Tower. The exhibits at Menlo Park feature original artifacts that represent Edison's multitude of inventions including light bulbs, phonographs, and electrical distribution. Groups will have opportunities to try hands on exhibits such as the telegraph key, operate series and parallel circuits, and become “human batteries.” Docents will play Edison recordings on original phonographs. Educational programs focus on Edison's laboratory, the process that led him to perfect the incandescent light bulb, and how he earned the title, “Wizard of Menlo Park.”
