Ashland Nature Center

This area has 130 acres of woods, meadows, marshes, trails, and the Red Clay Creek. It is home to dozens of bird species and types of plants and trees, and even two Lenni Lenape longhouses to explore. The center has a Butterfly House, and a program where groups can take nets into the nearby meadows and marshes to capture, identify, and release butterflies. Ashland has four distinct hiking trails, which encompass floodplains, meadows, shrub areas, fields, and forests. An overnight lodge, with kitchen area and science labs, is available for scouts and class trips
