Mattatuck Museum

The Museum integrates art and history. Interactive gallery tours incorporate activities like making self-portraits, listening to the oral history of residents, working on the production lines, building villages, and acting as a curator for a day. The museum hosts exhibits like the Connecticut-based Early American Painting Gallery, the Modern and Contemporary Art exhibit, and the Button Gallery, which offers a unique insight into the industry and history of Mattatuck. Activities include creating poetry, examining the Great Flood of 1955, observing art, and more.
