Florence Griswold Museum

Students and scouts will experience the ways in which Impressionism, photography, nature, and sculpture can tell the vivid story of history. The visit includes a tour of the historic Griswold House, which was believed to have been a boardinghouse circa 1910, a looking-game in the Kreible Gallery, and a hands-on painting project that allows learners to step into the role of an Old Lyme artist. Groups can also reserve a tour of well-known impressionist painters’ art studios, which includes interactive art lessons in the gallery.
