Billings Farm and Museum

Billings Farm & Museum is an operating dairy farm out of Vermont’s rural past. Students can see a restored farmhouse considered modern in 1890: with a farm office, creamery, and ice house. They can also meet the horses, sheep, oxen, and chickens that call the farm home. Seasonal programs can teach groups about farm responsibilities and operations, and nutritious food for humans and animals. During the winter months, they can apply the basics of simple machines to what farming was like in late 19th-century Vermont. In the summer, they can learn about sheep's fiber, and about growing their own food.
