San Antonio Zoo

Explore the wild at the San Antonio Zoo, which features 3,500 animals representing over 750 different species from around the world. The San Antonio Zoo offers a variety of programs for all ages. Animals at the zoo include monkeys, kangaroos, lemurs, rhinos, turtles, iguanas, goats, snakes, frogs, birds, and more. Take a self-guided tour of the zoo’s exhibits on or sign up for a docent led presentation. Groups can experience the zoo’s butterfly garden filled with 15-30 species or butterflies in their lush habitat. The Real.Wild.Classroom program combines classroom programs with zoo tours. Groups can also book a behind-the-scenes adventure or have a themed overnight adventure at the zoo.
