Austin Zoo

Spend some time with the animals at Austin Zoo. Austin Zoo’s mission is to assist animals in need through rescue, rehabilitation and education. Located on approximately 15 acres of land, the Zoo features over 350 animals of more than 100 different species, including African lions, Bengal tigers, capuchin monkeys, iguanas, pythons, black bears, cougars and many more animals. Groups can also take a scenic train ride through the Texas Hill Country on the Rawhide Rocket. For additional activities, the Austin Zoo Scavenger Hunt is available to download and print off their website. Groups must have at least 15 people to qualify for the group rate, and reservations must be made in advance to receive the discount. Private tours are available for groups of 12 or less; reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance.
