American Folk Art Museum

Groups will foster an appreciation for traditional folk art and the work of contemporary self-taught artists as they interact with pieces dating from the 18th century to the present. Themed tours will introduce students to the world of folk art through inquiry-based discussion in addition to allowing them to examine specific works in the galleries with People & Places or Artists’ Materials & Process. In the latter two programs, visitors will have the opportunity to become folk artists as they make their own unique art projects.
