Dallas Symphony Orchestra

Each year, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra offers in-school visits and youth concerts to learners of all ages. Special performances include Music and Motion, a joint production with the Dallas Zoo that includes original melodies and The Carnival of the Animals; and Straight from the Heart, in which the Symphony’s youngest concertgoers can learn about beloved works by Tchaikovsky, Mozart, and Rachmaninoff. In-school visits by individual and ensemble musicians will add to students’ musical knowledge and knowledge of percussion, string, woodwind, and brass instruments. Groups may also take a tour of Meyerson, to see where the musicians prepare.
