Ecology Village National Park Service

Your group can explore nature hands on at the Village, which offers a wide variety of day and overnight immersion experiences. Day programs range from kayaking and sailing to nature excursions. Learn about the local ecology and native animals at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center, or about the history of aviation at the Ryan Visitor Center. A special overnight experience for groups between 4th and 8th grades offers the only curriculum-based overnight camping program in the NYC area. Groups will explore nature, prepare meals outdoors, practice teamwork, and participate in hands-on environmental stewardship.
