Historic Richmond Town

Visit 17th century treasures at this living history village and museum! Historic Richmond Town has costumed interpreters that bring the sights of the past to life. Groups can explore historic buildings and learn what these structures can reveal about the past. See how all aspects of life, from dress and trade to industry, differ from today. Special school workshops give your students an opportunity to make candles, textiles, and prepare food and other goods, while learning about pre-industrial life. Enact a trial scenario in an 1830’s courthouse or investigate primary sources, while learning about history and 19th century community life.
