Washington Park Botanical Garden

Take in plants of all kinds at the Conservatory, which is filled with both exotic and economically important plants. The outdoor gardens feature more than 1,800 species of plants in 10 garden areas, including a rainforest area, 5,000 plant rose garden, and an indoor greenhouse. Seasonal favorites include Easter lilies, poinsettias, orchid exhibits, and Japanese bonsai. Visiting groups can learn about flower anatomy, how plants are made, plant cycles, germination, seed sizes and shapes, scents, and more. Visitors might also be able to plant a flower in a pot to take home!
