Historical Society of Pennsylvania

Comb through a wide range of primary sources from the Civil War era at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania. Groups will have the chance to read civilian diary entries, Benjamin Rush’s Letterbook, and more. Primary sources also reveal Civil War medical practices. All resource programs are free, and focus on topics such as Civil War soldiers, yellow fever, national history, and abolitionists. Field trips are held on special days and times when the library may not be open to the public, so inquire about these arrangements when reserving your group visit.
