New Jersey State Museum

 
Field trip visits to the New Jersey State Museum allow students, scouts, and homeschool groups to explore the museum’s exhibits in archaeology, history, art, and natural history. Groups can explore on their own or sign up for one of the Museum’s workshops or tours. Students can also reserve a seat for a Planetarium show or Thursday Theater live performance. Guided programs and shows are available to groups of 15 or more and reservations must be made and paid in advance, minimum two weeks before arrival.

SCHOOLS

Scout groups can work on Geology, Astronomy, Indian Lore, and Art badges at the New Jersey State Museum. Scouts will take on the role of a young paleontologist while reconstructing a model dinosaur, excavating fossils, and more. Homeschool groups can explore science, art, and history at the New Jersey State Museum. The museum’s hands-on educational programs are a great supplement to homeschool curriculums focusing on earth science, outer space, archaeology, NJ history, and more. Homeschool groups may also reserve space in our Thursday Theater live performances or a Planetarium show. Programs require a minimum of 15 people and one payment is expected for the group.
