Tenafly Nature Center

These nearly 400 wooded acres are a place where nature can be renewed and explored. Your students, scouts, and campers will explore the woods while using tools and their investigative abilities to learn about nocturnal animals, ecology, weather, and more. With the help of their five senses, groups can learn to differentiate common trees, plant life, and animals. Take a walk around Pfister’s Pond, and visit in the fall for apple cider-making and sugaring activities; the Nature Center also offers hiking adventures for scouts, where they can learn orienteering skills, how to spot and track animals, and basic wilderness survival.
