Valley Forge National Historical Park

Visit the place where General George Washington and his staff lived and worked for 6 months during the American Revolutionary War. The most significant historical sites, such as Washington’s Headquarters, are outlined on the 10-mile self-guided driving tour called The Encampment Tour. Guided trolley and Ranger-led walking tours are also available, which give insight to various topics from the Valley Forge winter encampment. The park features 19.5 miles of hiking trails, 21 miles of biking trails, 227 species of observable birds, and 17 miles of horse trails. The new Cell Phone Tour narration is available to aid in self-guided tours.
