Independence Seaport Museum is the premier, year-round, family-friendly destination on the Penn’s Landing waterfront in Philadelphia. Climb aboard our two National Historic Landmark ships, Cruiser Olympia and Submarine Becuna. Discover the history of the US Navy by exploring Schooner Diligence, our life-sized model pirate ship inside the Museum. Exciting live demonstrations take place in our Citizen Science Lab. See boats being built in our renowned Workshop on the Water. Enjoy the Delaware River with our seasonal Paddle Penn’s Landing boat rentals in a swan, dragon, or pirate ship. Independence Seaport Museum makes for a fun and unique experience for kids and families to visit.
Guided and self-guided field trips are available, and can be customized with tours of the historic ships, as well as hands-on history and science programs.
