Garvies Point Museum and Preserve

Garvies Point is a center for research about LI geology and archaeology. View exhibits illustrating Long Island’s glacial history, and explore Native American ways of life. In the Woodland Village exhibit, learners can “plant” corn, beans, and squash, or “fish” from the Dugout Canoe. Educational programs include discovering dinosaur fossils, exploring Native American pottery, and studying dioramas that illustrate geologic events.
