Bergen County Zoological Park

This 18-acre site is a great place to see wildlife from North, Central, and South America. Buffalo and horses, as well as more exotic animals such as the sloth and tamarins, showcase diversity of wildlife and animals’ different habitats. Learn about different animals, adaptations, and the animal kingdom’s convergent and divergent evolution. Study the form and function of feathers, beaks, and eggs from different birds, and the characteristics that differentiate them. All programs include a live animal demonstration that learners won’t forget! Scout programs and badge opportunities are available. The zoo is located with Van Saun County Park where you can picnic before or after your visit.
