Bruce Museum

The Bruce Museum is one of only a few museums that combines art, science, and natural history. Hands-on interaction with collections enhance students' understanding of scientific phenomena and artistic creation. Students can travel back in time to explore the natural environment of our region over 600 years ago. Younger participants may define basic shapes and patterns and identify them in artwork while older students work in teams to record and interpret artifacts. Other programs offer the chance to do a comparative study of invertebrates in the touch tank, examine the properties of minerals, and learn about the lifecycle and habits of butterflies using the larger than life butterfly mural.
