New Jersey

New Jersey Historical Society

Spend a day examining primary sources from the Civil War! Groups will gain a deeper understanding of the Civil War and its impact on the U.S. through New Jersey Historical Society’s educational programs. Groups will look for clues as to how New Jersey residents played a role in the Civil War through photographs, letters, newspaper articles, and more. New Jersey’s past comes to life in educational programs that aim to teach groups about the state’s Civil War soldiers, Native Americans, and geography. Exhibits focus on New Jersey’s development through maps, photographs, and resident stories.
