Field trips to the IMAG History & Science Center can include admission to the museum, SEA-to-SEE Touch Tank, IMAG LIVE Animal Show, Hands-On Hall, Weather Experience, a Walk Through History, Backyard Nature, Fisheye Lagoon, and other interactive activities, exhibits, and displays. Groups can also enhance their visit with a Science Assembly, STEM Workshop, 3D movies, Fossil Hunt, Science on a Sphere Show, and the Hurricane Simulator. Serving up science, technology, engineering, and math activities along with a delicious dinner, Project INSPIRE is an outreach program of IMAG History & Science Center creating family-fun learning opportunities for parents to be involved in their children’s education. IMAG provides dinner and STEM activities on special evenings. Designed to nurture intellectual curiosity, foster critical thinking, and encourage problem solving, Project INSPIRE is also helping to strengthen the family while inspiring the student’s lifelong love for learning. Taught by qualified teachers, IMAG History & Science Center presents Girl Scout Workshops. Individual workshops are offered by grade level for topics in that level. Junior, Cadette, and Senior workshops are 3 hours while Daisy and Brownie workshops are 2 hours. IMAG also offers Girl Scout Camp-Ins complete with a workshop, a science show and animal encounter, general admission to the IMAG, dinner and breakfast. All IMAG educational programs are correlated to Florida’s Next Generation Sunshine State Standards. Offering a prototype platform for all sorts of innovation and invention, the Rist Family Foundation FABLab is a stimulus for the creative family, a collaborative space for problem solving, learning, and manufacturing sessions together. The entrepreneurs and engineers, innovators and inventors, scientists and students of your family are welcome. Reservations are required. At the FABLab, students and family members gain valuable knowledge, skills, and a deep appreciation for the engineering and design process, its materials and machines, technologies and tools, as they imagine and create projects of personal interest and import. IMAG is committed to strengthening the family, contributing to workforce development, and advancing Florida’s academic standing.
