Royce J. and Caroline B. Watts Museum

Learn about the mining and petroleum industries at the Royce J. and Caroline B. Watts Museum in the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at West Virginia University. Named after faculty member Royce J. Watts and his wife Caroline B. Watts, the museum allows groups to explore history of the coal, oil and natural gas industries of West Virginia. Housed museum’s collections contain a variety of historical objects such as decorative glassware, electric lamps, photographs, and more. Groups can participate in activities such as tissue paper stained glass crafts and glassware etching.
