West Virginia University Planetarium

Experience the night sky at West Virginia University Planetarium. Groups will enjoy a variety of planetarium shows, visiting the observatory, and looking through the 14” Celestron telescope. Planetarium shows available for field trips focus on astronomical objects, constellations, planets, and more. Shows include Tales of the Maya Skies, Solar Superstorms, and Ultimate Universe. After the show, groups are invited to the observatory to see the night sky through the new telescope. The planetarium is also home to a flown tire from NASA that was used on the 1996 Columbia space shuttle during the STS-76 mission.
